What is Angel Therapy?

Angel therapy is an alternative healing concept that involves communication with angels. The idea behind the therapy is that by establishing a connection with angelic beings, it is possible to identify and treat a wide range of health ailments. Depending on the exact style or expression of the therapeutic procedure, patients may attempt to establish the connection directly or with the aid of an angel therapist.

The concept of healing through faith and spirituality is common in many faith traditions. Contemporary expressions of angel therapy often draw on the varying ideas about angels that are part of the core beliefs of different religions. For example, some faiths see angels as guardians of human beings, with groups of angels assigned to the watchcare of each person. Within this framework, the therapy would take the form of establishing contact with those angels to learn what must be done in order to correct the emotional, spiritual, or physical condition that currently plagues the individual.

In other expressions, angel therapy may involve the use of a third party that will attempt to contact specific angels that are part of the belief system of a particular faith tradition. This is often the case when a specific angelic being is associated with a particular type of healing. Angel therapists will attempt to intervene on behalf of the patient and ask for assistance in bringing about healing, either through supernatural means or the prudent use of tangible items that are employed according to the angel’s instructions.

It is important to note that some forms of this therapy are not just about healing of the body, mind, or spirit. In some instances, the therapy has to do with obtaining guidance on how to make an important decision or choice that may alter the direction of one’s life. Angel therapies may also focus on helping an individual to become free of habits that are self-destructive. The therapy may even involve something as simple as a patient seeking help in learning how to forgive someone that has hurt the individual deeply.

Just at the type of angel healing can vary, the range of actual treatments is very broad. In some instances, the therapist is understood to channel the angel, making it possible for the patient to converse directly with the angel. At other times, the therapy takes the form of using visualization techniques to sense the presence of angels who are gathering around the patient and infusing him or her with positive energy. The angel treatment may manifest as entering into a state where the angel can communicate with the subconscious mind, providing guidance and practical instruction on how to deal with whatever issue is at hand.

As with most alternative healing methods, angel therapy has a number of detractors as well as supporters. Some of the detractors are members of various religious communities that believe the patient is not communicating with angels, but with evil spirits. Others do not believe in the existence of angels at all; they believe the patient is engaging in a dangerous act of self-delusion that delays seeking competent medical treatment or psychological care.

Proponents of angel healing report that the encounters can often make a huge difference in the quality of life, allow the patient to see options that were not readily available before, and in general make it possible to see life and eternity with greater clarity. Supporters sometimes have sought healing from traditional medicine and received no relief, only to find that working with an angel therapist helped free them of whatever sickness or debility they had.

People either have abilities or don't. One can spend as much as they want, but they will not be able to fully use what they learn. I don't blame those that want to try, but those that want to try are being ripped off.

She can spout all the stuff about, "Don't care what others think about you." Maybe she should take a test for narcissistic personality disorder, which also has these people thinking it's okay to screw others over for profit.

Angel therapy like Doreen Virtue is nothing more than a fraud. The so called queen of angel therapy is on her fifthth husband and has more flake essence than the all of entire Kellog's cornflakes factories combined.

Can angel therapy cure any kind of illness or disease?

It is pretty far out. I'm working on the fringes of the healing profession myself and have known many people here in the Czech Republic who worked with the angel energy. For years I approached it with the "yeah whatever, the as long as it works, bring it on".

Then one of them took me in for a session, no money required, all very positive. At some point she called in Archangel Michael to "cut off the negative connection" which I objectively had. I was shaking and all kinds of energies went running through me.

"You know, he's got the sword, he's good at cutting stuff off you don't need anymore." Well, I must say that it didn't expect the slashing of his sword through my guts to be quite so powerful. Wow.

Then it was over and my body experienced complete peace. I noticed that the area we were healing was the only one in my body that didn't hurt at all, meaning I could notice small aches and pains in my back and joints and all the usual and there was complete pain-free peace in my belly. I was about to take painkillers prior to this healing and didn't have to take them since.

I was made to believe in angels because they sort of showed up and their presence was so powerful, that I'd be absolutely nuts to try to deny it. I've had several amazing sessions since, solving energy clots that were tied to my late grandmother, my childhood and many other things that would be hard to identify otherwise. Many of these issues weren't even mine. They were something I sort of took on and held on to on the subconscious level, which then automatically translates to physical discomfort and later on to illness.

As for my therapist or choosing a therapist, go by personal recommendation. These people either have the connection or they don't, in which case they're just charlatans. It's about personal openness to the spiritual realm which we can all achieve, but it takes a whole lot of work, so mostly we don't. If someone does keep their channel open, wow, more power to them and yes, then they can definitely help you.

But going to school for something like this or being certified is pure crap. I'm sure there may be courses or apprenticeship type training for the practical aspects and some information to be passed on to novices, but you can't teach having a connection. That's a gift or something you gain through long-term rigorous self-discipline and honest work on yourself. And no school can provide that.

I have some pretty extensive training in meditation and self-awareness, so I'm sure that could play a role. I'm not used to believing in things, I just experience them and if they work, I keep them. In other words, I prefer to know instead of being told and then believe.

So, the experience with angelic healing was just like that for me. The universe sort of said: "Here you go baby, this is how it works, deal with it, wrap your mind around it, but stop denying it, because it's there." I also had several people tell me to go to the next level, so I approached it with a completely open mind and had no prejudice. I said to myself "I'm ready. Whatever is supposed to happen, will happen." That certainly is an important attitude in a healing process like this. Good luck.

@BioNerd

But how do I know which angel therapist to trust? I think that if a spiritual realm exists, it is basically beyond our full understanding as humans. A trained angel therapist could only do so much.

@hanugueo112

This is a good point, and as mentioned, it is why having a qualified person help you with angel therapy is important. These people understand what angels are and how to distinguish between them.

By hangugeo112 — On Jan 22, 2011

If angels truly exist, and people communicate them, how do you know that the angel will be helpful to you and not a curse? It could be that you were communicating with an angry angel who wants to make your condition worse rather than better.

This sounds pretty far out, but interesting. If it is really possible to communicate with angels, then the remedial benefits of this could be immense. I have heard of meditating Buddhists being sustained by their goddesses, or angels.
