A one week diet plan is designed to produce fast dieting results. It can also be a way to boost a particular diet program. There are numerous types of seven- day diets and they are set up to do different things. Typically, these diets are used to help with weight loss but they can also aid in cleansing the body internally. A one week diet plan can also be a way to try a diet plan out before committing to it.

Most weight loss diet plans call for lowering calories while increasing exercise. In order to lose weight quickly, a one week diet plan may be a bit more stringent. For example, a healthy diet for the average person allows 1,500 calories a day with moderate exercise. With a one week diet plan, the calorie count is usually reduced to 1,200 or even 1,000 calories a day. Certain foods can also be completely eliminated while other types of foods are consumed more often.

Cabbage and bananas are thought to be excellent sources of protein and both of them only contain a small amount of calories. This is why there is a specific one week diet plan made for each of these foods. For an entire week, the diet will consist of mainly consuming these foods. Juices, rice, and other fruits and vegetables can also be added on a daily basis. They can be cooked, added to soups, or eaten raw.

A seven-day detox diet is used to cleanse the major organs within the body. Typically, no foods are consumed during this time period. Juice is extracted from fruits or vegetables and they are consumed instead of actual food. Each day, new types of juices are consumed and they all benefit different organs and body functions. A one week diet plan for detoxifying the body can release toxicants and other harmful substances from the organs and the bloodstream.

Healthy diet plans normally consist of eating a variety of healthy foods from all of the major food groups. Eliminating certain foods or significantly reducing calories can cause negative side effects. Weakness, nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea can occur as well as digestive difficulties. Any one week diet plan should be approved by a health care professional. Most of these diet plans boast of a considerable amount of weight loss in a short period of time, but these results can vary for each individual.
