In reference to egg protein shakes, I think one thing that people tend to forget is that there's more to the "smoothie" than just the egg itself, which is only a part of the equation. From reading the article, you can see that protein powder and flax seed oil are also used as additives. Separately, they don't mean much. However, when combined, it becomes a healthy and nutritious shake that's a great start to your day.

Even though I do work out quite often, I've never tried an egg protein shake before. However, after reading this article, I definitely think I'll give it a try. It's also interesting to hear that you can add in other ingredients as well. Also, as for the risk of getting food poisoning, even though there's always a chance, I can't say I'm too worried about. After all, what makes drinking an egg protein shake any different that eating a sunny side up egg, in which the yolk is still runny? However, if you want to be on the safe side, perhaps it's a better idea to cook the eggs before making it into a shake.
