Bathtub stickers, also known as appliqués or tub tattoos, are used to add traction to the bottom of a tub. The flooring of a tub can become slippery when it is wet, making sitting in or getting in and out of the tub dangerous. Appliqués or stickers adhere to the bottom of the tub to help prevent slips, falls, and injury. Stickers for children to play with in the bath are also called bathtub stickers.

Appliqués are available in many different styles, shapes, and colors. There are cute and whimsical designs for children's bathrooms, such as frogs, polka dots, ducks or monkeys. For adult bathrooms a few options include lighthouses, flowers, sea shells, or butterflies. In addition to a variety of designs, stickers come in a wide array of colors, making it easy to find ones to match just about any decor. Clear designs are also available for those who prefer to have decals that blend with the color of the tub, rather than having an obvious design.

Non-slip bathtub treads are another option. They are long strips of adhesive backed non-slip material and come in various lengths and widths. Treads serve the same purpose as appliqués, but are more functional than decorative.

Bathtub stickers have an adhesive backing that is used to secure them in the desired locations. Stickers need to be applied to a clean, dry surface. To provide adequate coverage, they should be spaced several inches (1 inch = 2.54 cm) apart without leaving overly large gaps between them. More than one package may be required to properly cover an entire bathtub floor.

Appliqués may need to be removed and replaced if they become worn out or if the bathroom decor has changed. Removing bathtub stickers can be a chore because the adhesive backing can be difficult to remove. Applying heat to stickers that are thoroughly dry may help to loosen the adhesive, making them easier to peel or gently scrape off the tub floor. Adhesive remover may also work to remove the stickers, but care needs to be taken before applying it to ensure that it will not damage the tub's surface or finish.

Bathtub stickers can also refer to special stickers that children play with in the tub. Toy stickers specially made for the tub can be stuck to the tub or the surrounding walls and easily removed when bath time is over. Tub stickers come in several themes such as farm, alphabet, and beach, and most sets come with a hanging storage bag for easy clean up.

Stickers are sold most places that bathroom accessories are sold as well as online. Although sets can differ, most include ten to a dozen matching bathtub stickers. Prices vary according to the package size, sticker design, and type.
