Following a vegan diet means avoiding foods that are made from or made by living creatures, such as meat, dairy, eggs, and even honey. Although it may seem restrictive at first, there are countless easy vegan recipes. Also, many cities across the world have restaurants that offer a wide selection of vegan fare making it easy to be vegan. In general, people following a vegan diet consume plenty of fruit, vegetables, beans, nuts, and grains. These items can be found in nearly every grocery store and restaurant across the globe.

There are many places to find easy vegan recipes. Vegan cookbooks can be purchased in most bookstores or borrowed from local libraries. The cookbooks offer a wide range of recipes — appetizers, side dishes, main dishes, and desserts. Some cookbooks are centered around certain types of meals, such as Italian, French, Chinese, or American cuisine.

Another way to fine easy vegan recipes is through the Internet. There are endless websites on the Internet that offer a plenitude of easy vegan recipes. Some websites give vegan alternatives to traditional dishes, such as transforming traditional chicken noodle soup to a soup that follows vegan diet restrictions. Other websites allow users to simply select an ingredient, such as pine nuts. The website then lists a variety of easy vegan recipes that include pine nuts as an ingredient.

For people who are more inventive, there are many ways to create easy vegan meals without the use of a recipe. For example, many vegans use beans in their cooking because they are a good source of protein. Beans can be added to salads, soups, and pastas. Most importantly, a recipe is not necessary for someone merely wanting to add a handful of beans to a pot of vegetable soup.

Occasionally, people following a vegan diet get tired of eating fruit for dessert. Luckily, there are many easy vegan dessert recipes that do not use eggs, honey, or dairy. These recipes may be considered by many people to be flavorful and sweet. For example, one recipe combines a puree of peanut butter, cocoa powder, and pitted dates. The cook then rolls the concoction into balls. Lastly, the balls are rolled in coconut.

There also are options for people who follow the vegan diet and crave meat or dairy. These options are called transition foods. Basically, they include items such as fake “meat,” non-dairy “cheese” or “butter” and other faux food items that can be used in place of traditional meat, cheese, or butter. These items are vegan, but generally they are less healthy. Consequently, vegans can easily use these processed items, but whole, natural foods are usually better options.
