What are Pamper Days?

Pamper days are days that are completely scheduled with spa treatments and services. Many spas offer packages that treat guests to massages, skin care treatments, and even light meals throughout the course of the day. Pamper days generally begin in the mid-morning and last until the late afternoon or early evening.

During a pamper day, spa guests are treated to services from head to toe. Pamper days usually include facials, massages, manicures, and pedicures on the itinerary. Body wraps, exfoliating body scrubs, and hair styling services are other treatments that can be enjoyed during a full day of rest and beauty services.

Because pamper days include the lunch hour, it is common for spas to offer light, healthy meals to clients who are enjoying day-long packages. These meals may be ordered in or prepared by an on-site chef. It is common for spas to offer vegetarian, vegan, microbiotic, gluten-free, and low carbohydrate options.

Usually spas allow clients to tailor their treatments to their specific needs. For example, if a client had sore shoulders from working long hours in front of a computer and was experiencing dry skin due to winter weather, she could have the massage therapist focus on her upper back, and make sure that the esthetician focused on her dry skin during the facial. Most spas offer a range of facials and massages to choose from.

It is common for spas to offer hot stone massages, Swedish massages, and Shiatsu massages. Spa menus also often include facials to rebalance the skin, facials to combat the signs of aging, and facials to treat dry skin. It is also possible to tailor manicures and pedicures to meet specific needs and tastes. Many spas have on-site facilities that guests can enjoy between treatments. Such facilities might include a steam room, sauna, or solarium. Making use of such facilities can be just as enjoyable as the treatments themselves.

Pamper days at the spa can be quite expensive because they include many treatments and require the services of various professionals. In addition to the fees for each treatment, it is also standard practice to tip each person who preforms a spa treatment. A much less expensive way to enjoy a day of beauty and relaxation is to schedule one at home. This can be done by setting aside an entire day that will be dedicated entirely to self-pampering. Some spa-treatments that can be enjoyed at home are facials, manicures, and pedicures. The best finale to a pamper day at home is a long bubble bath.

On my budget, I can’t afford a real “pamper” day. So, when I am ready for my refreshing day of beauty, I call two of my girlfriends and we get together at my house and have a girl day. We do our finger nails and toe nails, our hair, and experiment with each other’s different colors of makeup. It’s a lot cheaper and loads of fun because I am spending the day with friends.

Doing our own little beauty treatments about once a month is all I need and certainly all I can afford!
