The key to writing a good construction cover letter is to be brief; do not bog the reader down in endless details about your work history. Use firm language. Instead of saying, "I think I will be a good project manager," say instead, "I will make a good project manager because..." Employers want to find a job candidate who is confident in his or her skills, and someone who will be confident enough to tackle the common construction tasks associated with the job. A construction cover letter should feature a few examples of how you will be the best candidate, but try not to get bogged down in too many details. You will have an opportunity to discuss those details at the interview.
