In order to enlist in the United States Army, you will need to talk to an Army recruiter, make sure the requirements are met, and choose a job. You will also have to take a military test known as the ASVAB. At that point, you will need to visit the Military Entrance Processing Station to enlist.

Before trying to enlist in the Army, you should spend some time to make sure you meet the requirements. First of all, you are going to have to have a high school diploma, as the Army is not currently hiring anyone without a GED. In addition to this, you also have to be a citizen or permanent resident alien of the United States. You also have to be 17 and 41 to enlist in the Army. You also need to be reasonably physically fit and free of any disabilities that would prevent you from performing your job tasks.

The next thing that you need to do to enlist in the Army is speak with an Army recruiter. You should be able to find an Army recruiter in any area in the United States. You can also get in touch with one online or over the phone. An Army recruiter is going to tell you all about the Army and outline the process of getting in. You will need to have an initial meeting scheduled with an Army recruiter and he or she will make sure you are eligible to enlist.

After speaking with the Army recruiter, you will need to take the ASVAB test. The term ASVAB stands for Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery. This is a test designed to determine your aptitude for particular careers in the Army and shows what you would be good at. This type of test is commonly administered at schools across the country and you should be able to take it relatively quickly.

The last thing you will need to do to enlist in the Army is go to the Military Entrance Processing Station. At the Military Entrance Processing Station, you are going to go through a detailed physical and several other tests. At this point, you are also going to choose what type of job you would like to pursue in the Army. You can also take the ASVAB test at the Military Entrance Processing Station if you were unable to take it previously.
