When most people think of a hanging organizer, they think of an over the door clothes organizer used for hanging shoes, or one used in the bathroom for keeping toiletries off the vanity top. There are many other different types of hanging organizers, though, that can be used everywhere from the bedroom as a way to store jewelry, to a spice rack in the kitchen, to a folder or mail organizer for the office. A hanging organizer is an excellent way to save surface space and maximize work area, and they are available in many different designs and colors to match various types of decor.

Closet organizers are certainly a very useful type of hanging organizer. A shoe bag is a great way to keep shoes off the floor and make it easier to find a specific pair. Organizers hung over the door in a bathroom or a linen closet can add shelf space in a bathroom where it is at a premium, and can be a useful area to store shampoos, lotions, or cans of shaving cream while they are not in use. These are just a few of the many other options for wall organizers, though.

A spice rack in the kitchen is another type of hanging organizer for the kitchen. These may also feature a space underneath to hang a roll of paper towels, or hooks for hanging potholders or other utensils, making them very useful kitchen tools. These typically feature small, narrow shelves, and can be mounted right over a stove or countertop for easy access. Other areas in the house might benefit from a hanging organizer as well, such as an office or even just an area above a desk.

Hanging organizers that feature dividers for incoming or outgoing mail, files, or work in progress can all be a great way to clean up a messy desk while still keeping important items in sight and making sure nothing gets lost. This can be a good way to organize unpaid bills or make notes as well, especially if it is placed right by the phone. Other types of hanging organizers are used to store accessories, and prevent them from becoming tangled. In a bedroom or closet, this might mean necklaces or other types of jewelry, scarves, or ties, among others. Some people even make their own jewelry organizer by simply repurposing an old picture frame with some wire mesh or small hooks mounted to the bottom.
