The manager must be able to allocate funds wisely between marketing campaigns, training and promotional materials for resellers, travel expenses to trade shows or conventions, and many other costs. A candidate should also have attained an expert knowledge of the many existing types of distribution models and resellers. Many companies also seek applicants with a special understanding of the unique dynamics of their particular industries.
